Our Ethos & Values:

At Sutton Park Primary School our ethos is based on three rights
and our six Core Value words:

Our Rights:

  • The right to be safe
  • The right to learn
  • The right to respect

Our Core Values:

Our Core Value words were created by the whole school community to reflect the values we believe will contribute positively to our school community and the wider community.

Respect, Honesty, Equality, Happiness, Courage and Opportunity

  • Respect each other
  • Are Honest
  • Believe in Equality for all
  • Want a school where everyone is safe and Happy
  • Have the Courage to go on when things get difficult
  • Believe everyone should be given the Opportunity to enjoy and achieve

We are a Restorative Practices school and encourage children to accept responsibility for their actions and the impact their actions have on others within the school and the wider community. We believe it is important to help children understand the role they have to play in their own learning and how they can help themselves make progress. We understand that this is not always easy and ensure that our learning community is one where we learn from our mistakes and feel confident to explore our ideas.

We believe these values are fundamental in supporting our children to succeed not only at school but in all areas of life.
