Geography
Throughout Key Stages 1 and 2 in geography, pupils engage in exploring a diverse range of people, places, and environments - locally, across the United Kingdom, and globally. Geography is closely linked with history and taught through a variety of topics. We believe that for children to develop as confident geographers, they must be equipped with key geographical skills such as mapping, enquiry, investigation, and effective communication, all supported by meaningful and purposeful learning experiences. Each year, pupils take part in fieldwork projects and educational visits, allowing them to build on their existing knowledge. They work with a range of sources - including primary and secondary data, maps, diagrams, and images - to develop confidence in asking questions, conducting investigations, and drawing conclusions.
